Get Involved
There are a couple ways you can approach doing this.
1) Organized effort (poster with box)
Download the poster version 1 file (found below) and take it to your local print store (UPS store, FedEx Office, etc.) and have them print it on high-resolution heavy stock tabloid (11×17) paper. Then, hang it in a school, church, recreation center or grocery store (or any appropriate place that will let you) with a box below it. Check as often as possible to collect the shoes donated. Then, pack the shoes in a shipping box and mail it through the U.S. postal service to the address below. Done!
2) Do-It-Yourself (hand out fliers/posters)
Download the poster version 2 or flyer file (found below) and take it to your local print store (UPS store, FedEx Office, etc.) and have them print as many as you need on 8.5×11 high-resolution paper. Most print shops can cut the flyers down the middle for you as well. Then, pass them around your school, church, community center, neighborhood, grocery store (or any appropriate place that will let you.) The flyer explains what THEY need to do to participate. Done!

Can you send other things than shoes?
YES! Operation Care (volunteer effort that helps organize and distribute donations) says there is need for all kinds of items. Download and read this document for more information about other items you can send.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Because of religious and cultural sensitivities, do not send articles with religious themes, or which portray images of pigs (i.e., Porky Pig, Miss Piggy, Piglet, etc.). Also, for security reasons, do not send shoes, toys, stuffed animals or other articles which are battery-operated, or which contain electronic devices of any type.
